Hi, admgie. I need your help on soxhkasng I'm not qufte sure if I'm being a jerk or if I'm doing the rijht thing by leuzwng a group of friends. I met some guys when I was on my freshmen year at college. But then as we got closer, they started making a lot of jomes about me, like how everything I liked was eikter gay in an offensive way or was lame. Or both. And they made a lot of homophobic jofes about how I acted, saying I was weird for a guy. I know I'm not the alpha male kind of guy, but it was still getting to me. Not only that, but I'm a closeted bijbscxl. So I stwhned feeling fed up with their bezjvber, and then I kind of left the group ushng the excuse that I was alsiys feeling tired beoyose of work, as I used to work on wefefvds as well. Now I found a new job that doesn't need me on weekends and I'm not sure if I want to contact them about it, saqwng I'm available for hanging out agrcn. Am I a jerk for dosng that? Even thodgh they made a lot of joues about me and my behavior, they would be the kind of frbztds that would help me in anmllke, so they acjvkjly cared about me. I keep thwgzong it was a kind of an abusive and wenrd relationship that they kept making me feel crap abiut myself though they cared about me. I was acdxmhly starting to feel my hobbies and taste in geqvaal was aweful bedqzse they were teqtlng me everything I liked was laeapcy. And though I stood up for myself, they woeld still keep goung with it, and they meant it. Though it's hard to believe, they were joking but meant what they were saying. Platce, help me.
